Merchant Training Officer About the Job Role We are looking for a Merchant Training Officer to train and support merchants on POS, QR, and digital payment solutions. The role involves conducting merchant training, product demonstrations, onboarding, troubleshooting, and awareness sessions, ensuring merchants understand and effectively use our payment services. Responsibilities. Conduct training sessions for new and existing merchants on payment products, POS terminals, QR payments, and digital payment platforms. Provide practical demonstrations and guidance on transaction processing, refunds, reversals, settlements, and other merchant operations. Conduct onboarding and refresher training to ensure merchants are confident and competent in using payment solutions. Develop and maintain merchant training materials, user guides, FAQs, presentations, and quick-reference documents. Identify merchant knowledge gaps through feedback, support queries, complaints, and operational errors, and arrange targeted training accordingly. Provide first-level guidance and troubleshooting support for common merchant operational and product-related issues. Conduct on-site visits, workshops, webinars, and product awareness sessions to improve merchant engagement and product adoption. Communicate new product features, system updates, process changes, and relevant policies to merchants in a clear and simple manner. Maintain accurate records of merchant training activities, attendance, assessments, and training completion, and prepare regular reports. Gather merchant feedback and work with internal teams to recommend improvements to training programs, products, processes, and the overall merchant experience. Requirements . Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Experience in training, customer service, banking, payments, or merchant operations is an advantage. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Confident in conducting both individual and group training. Strong customer-service and interpersonal skills. Ability to explain technical concepts in a simple and practical way. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Willingness to travel for merchant visits when required. Trilingual communication skills. Having a valid driving license and owning a motorbike is an added advantage.
