Social Media Content Creator (Junior / Mid-Level) Experience: 1–2 Years Employment Type: Full-time Location: On-site (Colombo 3) About the Role We're looking for a creative and trend-savvy Social Media Content Creator who lives and breathes internet culture. If you enjoy creating memes, editing engaging short-form videos, spotting viral trends, and producing content that people love to share, we'd love to have you on our team. This role is ideal for someone who can quickly turn trending moments into entertaining content while maintaining our brand voice across multiple social media platforms. Key Responsibilities Create engaging meme-based content aligned with current trends and pop culture. Edit short-form videos for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, Telegram, and other traffic channels. Repurpose trending formats into original, brand-relevant content. Brainstorm creative ideas for daily social media posts and campaigns. Monitor trending topics, viral audio, memes, and social media conversations to identify content opportunities. Add captions, subtitles, transitions, sound effects, and visual elements to maximize engagement. Work closely with the social media, creative, and marketing teams to execute content calendars. Produce high-volume, fast-turnaround content while maintaining quality and consistency. Required Skills 1–2 years of experience in social media content creation, meme marketing, or short-form video editing. Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or CapCut for video editing. Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Canva, or similar design tools. Strong understanding of Instagram, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, X, Telegram, and emerging social media platforms. Excellent understanding of internet culture, meme formats, and viral content. Strong storytelling skills and attention to detail. Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience managing or creating content for brand social media pages. Knowledge of motion graphics or Adobe After Effects is an advantage. Familiarity with AI-powered content creation tools. Experience creating content for entertainment, gaming, sports, fintech, or digital-first brands.
