Technical Officer (Construction) | Colombo Location: Colombo / Project Sites - Sri Lanka Industry: Construction / Infrastructure / Road & Building Projects GIM is a fast-growing construction and infrastructure company in Sri Lanka. We are looking for a motivated Technical Officer to support our project execution and site operations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Review drawings, BOQs & estimates: Check and verify project documents including drawings, BOQs, estimates, and material take-offs. Prepare documentation: Assist in preparing method statements, shop drawings, and technical submissions. Site coordination: Monitor site activities, coordinate with site teams and subcontractors, and ensure work progresses as per plans and specifications. Reporting: Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and assist in planning and project reporting. Support project execution: Assist in cost control, quality checks, and project tracking activities. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, Quantity Surveying, or related field Minimum 2-5 years of experience in construction or infrastructure projects Good knowledge of BOQ preparation, estimation, and technical documentation Ability to read and interpret construction drawings Experience in road, building, or infrastructure projects will be an added advantage Strong communication and coordination skills Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines Good analytical and problem- solving skills SOFTWARE KNOWLEDGE Candidates with knowledge in the following software will be given priority: AutoCAD MS Project / Primavera Microsoft Excel & Office Package Quantity Estimation Software BIM / Revit knowledge will be an added advantage WHAT WE OFFER Attractive salary package Career growth opportunities Professional working environment Opportunity to work on large-scale projects Exposure to government and private sector projects PLEASE CLICK THE APPLY BUTTON TO SEND YOUR CV VIA XPRESSJOBS
