AI / Machine Learning Engineer | Colombo 03 Educational Qualifications BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field. Specialization in AI/Machine Learning would be preferred. Experience & Technical Requirements 3 years of hands-on experience in building and deploying machine learning models in production environments, not limited to academic projects. Strong proficiency in Python, including pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow, and SQL. Experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or GCP. Practical experience in: Computer vision and image recognition; defect-detection experience would be a strong advantage, particularly for our tile and ceramics manufacturing operations. LLM and chatbot integration, including RAG, prompt engineering, and API integration. ERP integration experience would be an advantage. Since we currently use Oracle EBS R12.2, experience in extracting and integrating data with Oracle EBS or other enterprise ERP platforms would be preferred. Ability to translate business requirements into working AI prototypes/pilots within a short period, ideally within weeks rather than months. Experience in manufacturing or industrial AI applications, including predictive maintenance, IoT/sensor-data analysis, and production optimization, would be an added advantage. Soft Skills Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to work directly with business teams and senior management to understand business requirements and convert them into practical AI solutions.
