PCB Layout Engineer (Altium Designer) | Remote Remote Opportunity with International Engineering Team Location: Sri Lanka (Remote) JOB OVERVIEW We are looking for a skilled PCB Layout Engineer to join an international engineering team working on advanced electronics hardware projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a Sri Lankan engineer to contribute to global product development while working remotely with experienced engineers and international technology teams. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Altium Designer, PCB layout design, and preparing production-ready PCB designs from schematic capture through manufacturing release. The candidate should have a strong understanding of PCB design principles, multi-layer board design, signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC considerations, manufacturing requirements, and collaboration with hardware, mechanical, and production teams. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Translate electrical schematics into production-ready, multi-layer PCB layouts using Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or Mentor Graphics. Perform component placement and PCB routing while optimizing signal integrity, power integrity, controlled impedance, EMI/EMC performance, and thermal management. Conduct Design Rule Checks (DRC) and work closely with hardware and mechanical engineers to ensure designs meet electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing requirements. Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles in accordance with IPC standards. Generate manufacturing documentation including Gerber/ODB++ files, drill files, BOMs, assembly drawings, and fabrication outputs. Support PCB fabrication and assembly by working with manufacturing partners to resolve design-related issues when required. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline. 5+ years of hands-on PCB layout experience. Strong experience with Altium Designer (preferred), Cadence Allegro, or Mentor Graphics. Experience designing multi-layer PCBs from schematic through manufacturing release. Good understanding of: Signal and power integrity High-speed digital, analog, or mixed-signal PCB design PCB layer stack-ups, copper weights, routing topologies, and material properties Controlled impedance, EMI/EMC, and thermal considerations DRC, DFM/DFA, and IPC standards Experience generating Gerber/ODB++, drill files, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation. NICE TO HAVE Experience with RF PCB layouts. Experience working on embedded systems, loT, or electronics hardware products. Knowledge of component library and footprint creation.
