Assistant Manager - Quality Assurance & Certifications Ceylon Eco Spices (Pvt) Ltd is a leading exporter of premium Ceylon spices, with a head office in Colombo and state-of-the-art facilities in Mahiyanganaya and Naula. We are a fast-growing Group looking for an Assistant Manager - QA & Certifications to join us and build a long- term career. The position is based at our factory located in Beligalla, Mahiyanganaya. Key Tasks: Manage and continuously improve the company's Quality Assurance and Food Safety Management Systems. Ensure compliance with BRCGS, ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP, Organic, Rainforest Alliance, Kosher, and other applicable standards and customer requirements. Coordinate and prepare for internal, external, customer, certification, and regulatory audits. Manage Kosher certification requirements, audits, documentation, and follow-up actions. Monitor audit findings, non-compliances, corrective and preventive actions, and ensure timely closure. Develop, review, and maintain QA procedures, SOPs, manuals, specifications, and records. Conduct quality and food safety inspections and verification activities across production and operational areas. Coordinate with Production, R&D, Procurement, Warehouse, and other relevant departments to maintain required quality standards. Handle customer complaints, quality deviations, investigations, root-cause analysis, and CAPA. Conduct training and awareness programmes on food safety, quality, GMP, HACCP, and certification requirements. Maintain effective traceability and quality documentation systems. Prepare and submit quality-related reports to management and support continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology. Quality Management, Agriculture, Chemistry, or a related field. Professional qualifications in Food Safety, HACCP, ISO 22000, BRCGS, Kosher, or related areas will be an added advantage. Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in QA, Food Safety, Quality Management Systems, or Certifications, preferably within the food, spice, or export industry. Strong practical knowledge of HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, BRCGS, Kosher, and other relevant food safety standards. Experience in certification and customer audits is essential. Experience in Kosher certification and audit coordination will be an added advantage. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and effectively coordinate with cross-functional teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
