Trinconmalee Campus, Eastern University, Sri Lanka The Trincomalee Campus, Eastern University, Sri Lanka, Konesapuri, Nilaveli, Trincomalee will entertain applications from suitably qualified persons for the permanent non-academic cadre posts up to 24.11.2026 Gymnasium Attendant - Grade III Note - The qualifications for the above-mentioned posts of 08, 09, 10 & 11 are as follows: 1. Should have passed the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination in six (06) subjects with at least two (02) credit passes in not more than two sittings and having obtained a proficiency certificate not below than the National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ) Level 2 or 3, issued by a Technical/ Vocational Training Institute accepted by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission, relevant to the function of each post. OR 2. Should have passed the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination in six (06) subjects with at least two (02) credit passes in not more than two sittings and one (01) year working experience in a relevant field with industrial skills. Salary Scale : U-PL 2 (III) Rs 44,575 - 16 x 490 - 52,415 p.m. as at 01.01.2027 Selection : By Trade Test & Structured Interview Age : Should be not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years. OTHER: - Should be a citizen of Sri Lanka. Should be physically and mentally fit to discharge the duties of the post well and to serve in any part of the island. Should be of excellent moral character. In addition to the basic salary, the Cost of Living Allowance and other approved allowances will be paid to the selected candidate/s. The “NAME” of the candidate and "POST" applied for must be clearly mentioned in the bank slip. c. The post applied for should be marked on the top left corner of the envelope. d. The candidates who apply for more than one post should submit separate applications along with separate Bank slips in separate covers for each post. e. Applicants who are employees of University System, Government Departments, State Corporations and Statutory Bodies should forward their applications through the Head of their respective Institutions, but may send an advance copy in the first instance. However, no such applicant will be considered for interview, if the application channeled through the Head of the Department is not received. f.
