IT Support Engineer

IT Support Engineer Job Description Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware, including desktops, laptops, printers, and network devices. Diagnose and resolve hardware issues promptly to minimize downtime. Perform routine maintenance and implement necessary upgrades for IT equipment. Coordinate with vendors for warranty claims, repairs, and hardware replacements. Install, configure, and update software applications and operating systems. Troubleshoot and resolve software-related issues, including compatibility and performance problems. Support the deployment of business-critical applications and provide end-user training when needed. Respond to and resolve IT support requests efficiently and within established timelines. Provide first-line and second-line support for hardware, software, and network-related issues. Strong Awareness of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for IT operations and workflows. Experience using a ticketing system for customer service Experience in IT Asset Management Highly process oriented Knowledge in ITSM and ITIL Experience working as IT in Warehouse/Sort Center environment is a plus Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (in person and via phone/radio) with peers, management, contractors and vendors. Willingness to work flexible shifts and scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays Key Requirements Strong understanding of IT asset management principles, including inventory tracking and lifecycle management. Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues. Basic knowledge of networking concepts, such as IP addressing, DNS, and VPN configurations. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to address technical challenges effectively. Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with teams and support end-users.
