Public Outreach Officer | Ella Dogs of Ella is a registered animal welfare organization dedicated to rescue, rehabilitation, responsible care, and sustainable animal welfare initiatives in Sri Lanka. We are looking for a proactive and people-oriented Public Outreach Officer to support our CSR & Publicity Coordinator through on-site communication, visitor engagement, and community outreach. Key Responsibilities Welcome and guide visitors through the shelter Explain Dogs of Ella's work and promote responsible animal welfare Create photo and video content from daily shelter activities Support rescue story documentation Visit local hotels, cafés, restaurants, supermarkets, and other businesses to build and maintain partnerships Manage donation boxes and identify new placement opportunities Support awareness campaigns, fundraising activities, and adoption events Coordinate closely with the remote CSR & Publicity Coordinator and the shelter team Requirements Fluent Sinhala and English (both essential) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable working in a dog shelter environment Genuine interest in animal welfare and community education Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently Willingness to relocate to the Ella area is essential Working Environment This is an on-site position based near Ella.
