Senior Electrical Engineer / Senior Earhing & Lightning Protection Design Engineer Join our specialist engineering team and play a key technical role in the design and analysis of earthing, grounding and lightning protection systems for complex projects across multiple sectors. SENIOR TECHNICAL ROLE - Lead complex designs and technical solutions EXPERTISE IN CDEGS - Advanced modelling, analysis and simulation DIVERSE PROJECTS - Power, Industrial, Renewables, Data Centres & more GROW WITH US - Career progression in a growing Specialist business KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Design earthing and lightning protection systems for complex electrical projects Carry out earthing studies and simulations using CDEGS Soil resistivity analysis and soil modelling Earth grid modelling including EPR/GPR, touch and step voltage assessments Fault current distribution and system performance analysis Lightning protection design, calculations and specifications Prepare engineering reports, calculations and technical documentation Prepare engineering reports, calculations and specifications Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and other disciplines Ensure compliance with relevant standards and best practice ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS Minimum 5 years' relevant engineering experience Hands-on experience with CDEGS Strong understanding of earthing system design (soil modelling, fault current, EPR/GPR, touch & step voltage) Experience designing lightning protection systems Knowledge of IEC/EN 62305, BS 7430, IEEE 80, EN 50522 and other relevant standards Ability to produce high-quality technical reports and design documentation Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills Ability to manage and deliver technical work independently DESIRABLE EXPEFIENCE HV Substations & Data Centres & Power Systems Data Centers & Mission Critical Facilities Renewables & Energy Projects Testing.
