Senior Mechanical Engineer Job Summary We are seeking an accomplished Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead high-profile luxury projects in Sri Lanka. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in high-end projects, strong expertise in mechanical design, modern engineering tools, local regulations, and sustainability standards. The role involves overseeing engineering activities, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality, efficiency, safety, and client satisfaction within agreed timelines and budgets. Key Responsibilities Lead and review mechanical engineering designs, drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical submissions. Plan, coordinate, and monitor engineering activities to ensure timely project delivery within approved budgets and quality standards. Supervise mechanical installation, inspection, testing, commissioning, and project handover activities. Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to resolve technical issues. Provide technical guidance, supervision, and development support to engineering teams. Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, statutory requirements, quality procedures, and health and safety regulations. Monitor project costs, resources, risks, and progress, and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Prepare technical evaluations, progress reports, and engineering documentation. Requirements Education Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent recognised qualification. Membership with the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL), and registration with the Engineering Council, Sri Lanka (ECSL), in the applicable category. Experience Minimum of 10–15 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience, preferably in a senior or supervisory role. Proficiency in relevant CAD software, engineering applications, technical drawings, and project management tools. Strong knowledge of engineering codes, standards, quality assurance, cost control, and health and safety requirements.
