Works Superintendent - (Civil) | Colombo / Galle / Trincomalee Applications are invited from citizens of Sri Lanka who meet the qualifications to fill the following vacancies at Sri Lanka Ports Authority. Applicants must clearly state in the application the port for which they are applying. Separate applications must be submitted for each port. Salary: Salary Category : Supra Grade 6.3 (SG 3) Basic Salary Step : Rs. 53,425/= Annual Increment : Rs. 1,150/= (Gross salary is approximately Rs. 132,000/= per month) Qualifications: Pass in three (03) subjects at the G.C.E. (Advanced Level) examination at one sitting And Should possess a Higher National Diploma in Engineering (HNDE), National Diploma in Technology (NDT), Higher National Diploma in Technology (HNDT), National Diploma in Engineering Sciences (NDES), Diploma in Engineering Open University of Sri Lanka (ED- OUSL), Final Certificate from City & Guilds, or an equivalent diploma issued by a government institution or a Technical/Vocational Training Institute recognized by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission in the relevant field. Experience Three (03) years of experience in the position of works superintendent or a similar position at a government or recognized private institution. Age Limit: Candidates must be not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years of age. This age limit shall not apply to applicants from the public service. The provisions of Ministry of Public Administration Circular No. 299 dated 23.07.1985 shall apply to ex-servicemen applying for this post. Other Requirements: Every applicant must: Be a citizen of Sri Lanka. Possess physical and mental fitness required to perform the duties assigned to the post and to serve in any part of the country. Have an excellent character. Pass a medical examination if required, or as determined by the interview board, relevant to the post. This is a permanent post, and it carries entitlement to the Employees' Provident Fund and the Employers' Trust Fund. Applicants already in service in government or state institutions must submit their applications through their respective department/institution head. If selected for the above posts, they must provide a letter of consent agreeing to be released from the service of their department/institution.
